Drug Take Back Events Coming Up in Boone County

A prescription drug take back event is taking place tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday in Boone County.

The Boone County Sheriff’s Department is teaming up with other law enforcement agencies in the county and Truman VA to hold the event that coincides with DEA’s National Drug Take Back Day on Saturday.

Tomorrow (Friday), collection sites at Truman VA and the MU Student Center will be open from 10am – 2pm.

Saturday, collection sites will be open from 10am – 1pm at Ashland, Centralia, and Hallsville Police Departments along with Hickman and Tock Bridge High Schools.

No needles, syringes, IV solutions, injectables, inhalers or other compressed air cylinders will be accepted.
