Mexico Bulldogs Basketball Team Opens Season With Big Win in Opening Round of Montgomery County Tournament
The Mexico Bulldogs boys basketball team opened up their season with a 73-26 win over the Wellsville-Middletown Tigers tonight (Tuesday) in the opening round of the Montgomery County Tournament.
The Bulldogs defense was smothering and did not allow any points for the first seven minutes of the game.
The Mexico offense drained 10 three pointers, including four from Isaiah Reams who led all scorers with 22.
Jordan Shelton nailed 3 three pointers and put up 21 points.
D.J. Long finished with 7, Daeye Miller had 6 points, Peyton Willer finished with 5 points, Anthony Shivers nailed a three, Michael White had 4 points and rounding out the scoring book was Kanye Nunnelly with 2 points.
The Bulldogs will play again on Thursday night at 6 in round 2 of the Montgomery County tournament.
