Mexico Bulldogs Basketball Sweeps Bowling Green in Home Varsity Doubleheader

The Mexico boys and girls basketball teams picked up wins in a varsity doubleheader tonight (Thursday) against the Bowling Green Bobcats at the Mexico High School.

The Mexico Lady Bulldogs got down earl 8-0 in the first quarter and trailed at halftime, however fought back and won 43-32 over the Lady Bobcats.

Senior Mya Miller led the way with 17 points followed by Riley Thurman who had 13 points.

The Mexico girls extended their winning streak to 8 games and improved to 8-1 on the season.

The Mexico Bulldogs pushed their record to 10-0 with a 70-45 victory over Bowling Green.

Four Bulldogs boys finished in double digits.

Daeye Miller had 15 points, Isaiah Reams and Michael White had 14 points each respectively, and DJ Long recorded 13 points.
