KWWR Sports Report 1/7/22
The Missouri Tigers women’s basketball team went to overtime for the second consecutive game and defeated Auburn 72-63 last night (Thursday) at Mizzou Arena.
LaDazhia Williams had a career high 25 points for the Tigers who improved to 13-2 overall and 2-0 in the SEC.
Aijah Blackwell recorded her 1,000 career point in the overtime period, becoming the 38th member of the Mizzou women’s basketball 1,000 point club.
Up next the Mizzou women will travel to Arkansas to play the Razorbacks on Sunday afternoon.
The Kansas City Chiefs will be on the road tomorrow (Saturday) for the regular season finale when they play the Denver Broncos.
The Chiefs still have a shot at the AFC’s number 1 seed, however the Chiefs not only need to beat or tie Denver tomorrow, they also need the Tennessee Titans to lose to the Houston Texans to secure home-field advantage and the first-round bye.
The Chiefs and Broncos kickoff at 3:30 tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon.
