Mexico Bulldogs Boys Basketball Team Aces Test Against Kirksville Tigers In Macon Tournament Championship Game
The Mexico Bulldogs boys basketball team defeated the Kirksville Tigers 64-54 tonight (Saturday) in the championship game of the Macon Tournament.
The Bulldogs snatched victory from the jaws of defeat after getting down by 15 going into halftime.
The Bulldogs were outscored 22-9 in the second quarter.
The second half was all Mexico.
Mexico bested Kirksville 18 to 6 in the third quarter and 26-13 in the 4th quarter.
Jordan Shelton led the Bulldogs with 19 points, Michael White and Isaiah Reams had 13 each respectively, Daeye Miller put up 10 points and finished the game with back-to-back dunks.
Mexico won their first Macon Tournament since the 1015-2016 season and improved their record to a perfect 14-0.
Up next Mexico visits Boonville on Monday night.
