Sterling Oliver Presented With Colonel C. R. Stribling Jr. Community Service Award

Montgomery County native and long-time Mexico resident Sterling Oliver has a new award to compliment his long list of civic involvment.

Oliver was presented with the Colonel C. R. Stribling Jr. Community Service Award at tonight’s (Friday’s) Mexico Area Chamber of Commerce Awards Banquet.

Oliver came to Mexico in 1981 to begin his nearly 40-year career with Central Bank (formerly First National Bank) and retired as Executive Vice President in 2019.

Oliver has been involved with a number of organizations, including the Miss Missouri Scholarship Pageant, Mexico Optimist Club, and Mexico Methodist Church.
