Mexico Bulldogs Basketball Boys Defeat Centralia in Semi-Finals of District Playoffs

The Mexico Bulldogs boys basketball team defeated the Centralia Panthers 51-36 in the semi-finals of the District playoffs tonight (Wednesday) at the Centralia High School.

Mexico would have a 6-0 and a 7-0 run to start the game and held a 16-8 lead after the first quarter.

The second quarter was dead even between the two teams at 10 points apiece.

Mexico held a 26-18 lead going into halftime.

The third quarter belonged to the Bulldogs defense as they held the Panthers to just 3 points.

Centralia made a run to start the 4th quarter, however Mexico held on for the win and have advanced to their 2nd consecutive District Championship game.

Mexico senior Isaiah Reams led all scorers with 14 points, Daeye Miller put up 13 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 blocks. Michael White recorded 11 points.

Mexico will face the winner either Kirksville or Macon on Saturday afternoon at 1pm.
