KWWR Sports Report 3/4/22
The St. Louis Cardinals are announcing a ballot with 5 modern players who are up for induction into the Cardinals Hall of Fame this year.
The names of the players were released yesterday (Thursday) and include Steve Carlton, George Hendrick, Matt Holliday, Matt Morris and Edgar Renteria.
It is the first year on the ballot for both Holliday and Hendrick.
Fans can view the ballot and vote starting tomorrow (Saturday) at cardinals.com/HOF.
The Missouri Tigers women’s basketball team lost 61-52 in overtime to Arkansas in the opening round of the SEC Tournament yesterday (Thursday).
Haley Troup tied the game for Mizzou on a layup with 20 seconds left on the clock and sent the game into OT.
Troup finished with a career-high 21 points on the afternoon.
Arkansas put the game away with a 13-2 run in the extra period.
The Mizzou women will now await its postseason destination finishing the regular season with a record of 18-12.
The NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship bracket will be revealed during the Selection Show on Sunday, March 13th on ESPN.
