Fulton Police Investigating After Man was Shot and Killed in Home Invasion
An investigation is underway in Fulton after a home invasion last night (Monday) where shots were fired and one man died and another was injured.
According to the Fulton Police Department it happened just before 9 last night (Monday) in the 300 block of West 9th Street.
Officers found a 33 year old man that had a gunshot wound to the leg an another man with life threatening gunshot wounds.
Officers provided aid to the man who was severely injured.
He was later pronounced dead at a Columbia Hospital.
The other man was taken to a hospital by private vehicle.
An investigation revealed the incident started as a home invasion with a woman that had been assaulted before the shots were fired.
No names are being released at this time as the investigation is ongoing.
