Two Arrested for Attempted Robbery at Mexico Business

Two people are in the Audrain County Jail after being arrested for attempted robbery at a Mexico business.

Mexico Public Safety responded to Essentialz at 115 South Jefferson just before 3pm yesterday (Tuesday) in reference to a disturbance inside the business.

Responding officers learned that several people associated with the business had been in a dispute.

According to public safety during the dispute, 36 year old Marjorie V. McDonald of Columbia attempted to take property from the business and hit someone trying to stop her.

29 year old Biagio D. Davenport of Hallsville, is accused of pulling a gun to help McDonald try and take the property.

Both McDonald and Davenport were arrested at the business by Mexico Public Safety and taken to the Audrain County Jail for Attempted 1st Degree Robbery.

There were no injuries from the incident.
