The District tennis seedings were released yesterday (Thursday). Mexico Boys Tennis earned the 2 seed and MMA Boys Tennis earns the 1 seed.

Mexico Boys Tennis plays Fulton on 5/10 at home at 4:30.

The St. Louis Cardinals beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 8-3 at Busch Stadium last night (Thursday).

Cardinals starting pitcher Dakota Hudson carried a no-hitter into the sixth inning and gave up just 1 hit and struck out four.

The Redbirds offense put up 15 hits for a second consecutive game.

Yadier Molina received a standing ovation when the 39-year-old catcher swiped second base in the bottom of the sixth inning.

The Kansas City Royals defeated the Chicago White Sox 5-2 in 10 innings.

Adalberto Mondesi was placed on the 10-day injured list with a left ACL tear, ruling the 26-year-old shortstop out for an undetermined amount of time.

In day one of the NFL draft the Kansas City Chiefs traded up with the New England Patriots to get the 21st pick.

The Chiefs sent the Patriots its No. 29 pick, along with two picks in the third and fourth rounds.

The Chiefs selected Trent McDuffie with their first selection of the first round.

McDuffie played three seasons at Washington. With the No. 30 selection, the Chiefs picked up more defense with edge rusher George Karlaftis from Purdue.

The NFL Draft continues tonight (Friday) 6pm with the final day tomorrow (Saturday) at noon for the fourth through seventh round picks.

St. Louis Cardinals star Nolan Arenado and pitcher Genesis Cabrera have been suspended for their actions during a benches-clearing brawl with the New York Mets on Wednesday.

Arenado has been banned two games and Cabrera one game, and both have been fined undisclosed amounts.

Arenado is appealing his decision and played in last nights game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Cabrera served his ban yesterday.
