Audrain County Judge Sentences Mexico Man to Ten Years in Prison for October Shooting Incident

A Mexico man is being sentenced to ten years in prison for an October shooting.

Michael White Jr. was 22 when he was arrested for threatening area residents, shooting a gun and hitting a parked car with the gunfire the night of October 7th, 2021 in the 1000 block West Breckenridge.

This week an Audrain County judge sentenced White Jr. to 10 years in prison for unlawful use of a weapon and four years in prison for resisting arrest.

The sentences will run concurrently for a total of ten years.

The Audrain County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office agreed to drop a charge of armed criminal action against him.

White could be released early to probation if he completes a 120-day shock incarceration program.
