The Mexico Bulldogs shut out the Moberly Spartans 2-0 on Senior Night in Mexico.

Mexico’s starting pitcher Tristan Playter didn’t allow a single run and only gave up two hits in seven innings.

Playter struck out six and walked none.

The Bulldogs collected eight hits in the game.

Tristan Playter, Daeye Miller and Andrew Runge all had two hits each.

Mexico High School golfer sophomore Aidan Knipfel is headed to State for a second consecutive year.

He qualified for State yesterday (Monday) shooting a 90 at the Franklin County Country Club.

Aidan will play in the State Tournament Sunday through Tuesday in Sedalia.

The Kansas City Royals lost 6-1 to the Baltimore Orioles yesterday (Monday).

The Royals had an early lead then the Orioles scored six unanswered runs to grab the victory.

The St. Louis Blues play the Minnesota Wild in Game 5 of the Western Conference First Round tonight (Tuesday) in Minnesota.

After taking tough losses in Games 2 and 3, the Blues responded in strong fashion to even the series against the Wild on Sunday in Game 4.
