Assistant Coach Stacie Carroz and Head Coach Bob Curtis recognized the Lady Trojans junior varsity and varsity players Thursday night during the annual athletic banquet.
Carroz started by addressing the season of the junior varsity. She named sophomore Kylie Brooks as the Junior Varsity Player of the Year.
Curtis discussed the varsity season, in particular the opening game against a 3A school. He recognized member of the team who received CAC conference honors: first team, Sarah Angel and Olivia Kuda, honorable mention Shelby Clark, and MVP Alexis Welch.
Coaches awards included:
- Most Improved – Olivia Kuda
- The Hustle Award – Alyssa Beamer
- Free Throw Percentage – Sarah Angel
- Queen of the Boards – Alexis Welch
- Winstinct Award – Paige Meyer
- Field Goals Made – Alexis Welch
- Sixth Man Award (tied) – Kylie Brooks and Brooklynn Glasgow
- Elmer’s Award – Kayla Jett
- Most Coachable – Shelby Clark
- Defensive Player of the Year – Sarah Angel
- Offensive Player of the Year (tied): Sarah Angel and Alexis Welch
Head Coach Ted Shotten discussed the Trojan’s basketball season Thursday night at the athletic banquet. He recognized senior Kaden Brooks, who received all-conference honorable mention in the CAC conference. Brooks scored 150 points this season and junior Gavin Allen who was first-team all-conference.
Other awards included:
- Offensive Player of the Year – Gavin Allen
- Best Leader Award – Tucker Robnett
- Defensive Player of the Year – Logan Johnson
- 6th Man Award – Logan Johnson and Eli Johnson
- Free Throw Award and Most-Coachable – Mason Carroll
- 3pt % – Chase Dobbyns
- Most Improved (tied) – Mason Rohan and Brandt Cope
Cheerleading Awards:
- Captain – Kylee Gentry
- Co-Captain – Jolene Hollensteiner
- Rookie of the Year – Kate Robnett
- Team Player of the Year – Amelia Vannoy
- MVP – Kaitlyn Bohr
In track, Coach Trenton Pummill talked about the season, which is still ongoing. He said track and field team members set 75 personal records this season with several breaking school records. In particular, Senior Kaden Brooks for setting the boys high jump record having only jumped twice in his career and senior Paige Meyer who not only broke the school record this year, but it was her own record she broke. He also talked about junior Sarah Angel, who was within a tenth of a second for breaking the school’s 400m dash record.

In Baseball, Coach Joel Krato discussed his team’s success this year, with the team approaching the first district game Monday in Glasgow.
