The St. Louis Cardinals earned a series split with the Philadelphia Phillies with a 6-1 win at Busch Stadium last night (Monday).

Albert Pujols moved into third place on the all-time list for extra-base hits collecting his 1,378th extra-base hit of his career last night.

Pujols double moved him one spot ahead of Stan Musial.

Corey Dickinson and Lars Nootbaar each hit home runs for the Redbirds.

In the final All-Star week of his legendary career, Albert Pujols is set to go out with a bang.

Not only will he be a legacy member of the National League roster in the All-Star Game, Pujols will also compete in the 2022 Home Run Derby.

Pujols has competed in the Home Run Derby in 2003, 2007, 2009 and 2015, but he has never won the event.

The Kansas City Royals defeated the Detroit Tigers 7-3 at the K.

Several former Mizzou Tigers basketball stars have started play in the NBA Summer League.

Former Missouri forward Jontay Porter notched a start in his Denver Nuggets Summer League debut, last week. He scored six points and grabbed two rebounds in 14 minutes.

Dru Smith returned to the Miami Heat’s Summer League roster on Thursday. He played in the G League last season before suffering a knee injury in February.

Jeremiah Tilmon Jr. played two minutes in the Orlando Magic’s win over the Sacremento Kings on Saturday afternoon.

In NFL news the Pittsburgh Steelers have renamed Hienz Field to Acrisure Stadium starting this season. The team made the announcement yesterday (Monday). Terms of the new 15-year deal were not released.

Acrisure operates as a top-10 global insurance broker, and has grown its revenue to more than $3.8 billion in just over eight years.
