In the MLB Home Run Derby last night, it was Nationals outfielder Juan Soto outslugging Julio Rodriguez 19-18 for the win.

Albert Pujols won his first round against Kyle Schwarber 20-19 before losing to Soto in the 2nd round.

In the MLB Draft, the Cardinals picked up 10 players yesterday: 7 pitchers, 2 outfielders, and a catcher.

This is the first time in franchise history that St. Louis chose left-handed pitchers with their first 3 overall selections.

Speaking of the MLB Draft, the Mizzou Tigers got a little good news yesterday as 4-star quarterback signee Sam Horn, a two-sport all stater out of Collins Hill High School in Suwanee, Georgia, has gone undrafted through the first 10 rounds which pretty much assures that he’ll be in Missouri throughout the fall.

SEC Media Days are underway and yesterday, Mizzou’s Eli Drinkwitz said he likes what he has and will let his team do the talking this fall and that this is his most talented team yet at Mizzou.
