Red Cross Asking for Help to Support Residents Displaced by Floodwaters
The Red Cross for Missouri and Arkansas is encouraging mid-Missourians to make donations or enlist as virtual volunteers to help the many residents in St. Louis who have had to leave their homes due to flooding.
According to the National Weather Service, St. Louis saw a historic 9.04 inches of rain within 24 hours with more than 7 inches falling in a six-hour period.
In the aftermath, the Red Cross in St. Louis opened shelters across the region to house those affected.
If you want to donate or volunteer, visit redcross.org or call 1-800-RED-CROSS.
