Lost Temper Turns to Threats – Causes Lockdown at Valley View in Moberly
Valley View Health and Rehabilitation in Moberly went into lockdown yesterday after Rickey Ridgeway, 53, of Moberly, allegedly threatened the nursing home.
Frustrated at not being able to speak to his wife, an employee, on the phone, reportedly Ridgeway began swearing graphically and ultimately said he would come to the facility and “blow her away and clear out the whole place.”
Later, he admitted to police that he called Valley View asking to speak to his wife, but denied making threats to the staff.
Ridgeway is charged with 2nd-degree Terrorist Threat and 1st-degree Harassment. No court appearances have been scheduled yet.
