Fentanyl Increasing as Cause of Death in Missouri – Can be Disguised as Candy
The CDC says that the synthetic opioid Fentanyl is now officially the leading cause of death among Americans aged 18-45. The National Institute of Health says Missouri is outpacing most states in increases.
According to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, drug dealers are increasingly targeting children and young people with fentanyl pills made to look like candy.
It’s recommended that folks be especially vigilant as Halloween nears.
