KWWR Sports Report 9/26/22

University of Missouri football had two chances to win in a nail biter but Harrison Mevis missed a 26-yard field goal in the fourth quarter, and Nathaniel Peat fumbled while going into the end zone for what would have been a game-winning touchdown as the clock ran out in regular play and then overtime.

The Kansas City Chiefs lost to the Indianapolis Colts 20-17 Sunday.

Albert Pujols joined the ranks of the few in the Homerun 700 club on Friday night with two homers.

The Dodgers took the Cardinals 4-1 Sunday, securing their spot as the No. 1 overall seed in the National League. Michael Grove took his first career victory pitching five innings for the Dodgers.

Tomorrow St. Louis is in Milwaukee to meet the Brewers at 6:40 – Miles Mikolas vs Adrian Houser.

Kansas City was crazy last night in the sixth inning. Going in, it was 11-2 Mariners, coming out it was 13-11 Royals. This after Mariners made 8 runs in the fifth. Final score 13-12 Royals.

Kansas City will be in Detroit hunting Tigers at 5:40 – Zack Greinke vs Joey Wentz.

Today the Cardinals and the Royals have the day off.
