Houston has taken a two to nothing lead in the American League Championship Series after their win over the Yankees yesterday, 3 to 2,

In the National League Championship Series, it’s tied at one each with Game 3 tonight at 6:37 with Philadelphia hosting the Padres.

In state softball action yesterday, Eugene beat Kelly and Marceline beat Elsberry in Class 2.

Eugene plays Marceline and Russellville plays Sherwood in the final four in Springfield next Friday.

In Class 3, Bowling Green beat Father Tolton yesterday to advance to the final four as well, taking on Chillicothe next Friday.

The other Class 3 final four matchup is Fatima taking on Westminster Christian.

It’s week 9 of high school football and some of the games we’re following include:

  • Mexico hosting Warrenton
  • Hallsville heads to California
  • Fulton is at home hosting Winfield with Elsberry
  • Helias has home field advantage as Vianney comes to town
  • Centralia is on the road to Macon
  • Mark Twain defends The Farmers Cup as they host Van-Far
  • North Callaway hosts Bowling Green
  • South Callaway is on the road taking on Montgomery County

Games get underway at 7pm.
