In Monday night football last night, it was the Cardinals getting the best of the Saints, 42 to 34.

The Blues pick up their first loss of the season last night, shut out by the Jets 4 to nothing giving them a 3 and 1 record on the young season.

Next up for the Blues, a home game tomorrow night as they host the Edmonton Oilers. Puck drops at 7pm.

The Van-Far Indians football team becomes at least the second area team in recent weeks to cancel the rest of their season.

In a social media post from the school district, they cite a number of season-ending injuries making it unsafe to continue play.

Missouri Military Academy in Mexico’s football Colonels suffered the same fate prior to the end of the regular season, forcing them to forfeit their remaining games.

The Chiefs are mourning the loss of one of their original players.

Walt Corey was an original Dallas Texan who joined the club in 1960 and was part of the formative years of the franchise according to Chiefs Chairman and CEO Clark Hunt.

He played for the Chiefs for seven years and then spent 12 years on the sidelines as a coach.

Corey was 84.
