The Chiefs improve to 7 and 2 on the season following yesterday’s win over Jacksonville, 27-17.

The football Tigers didn’t fare as well on the road Saturday as they got pounded in Tennessee, 66 – 24.

In basketball over the weekend, the Tigers fared much better.

The men improve to 3 and 0 on the season after handling Lindenwood last night at Mizzou Arena, 82 – 53.

Next up for the men, SIU-Edwardsville tomorrow night in Columbia, tip off set for 7:00.

On the Women’s side, they also improve to 3 and 0 with yesterday afternoon’s win over SEMO, 62 to 50.

They take on Western Kentucky tonight at 7 at Mizzou Arena.

The Blues are back on the winning side of the boards.

They picked up a win over the Las Vegas Golden Knights Saturday night, 3 to 2 and snapped Vegas’ 9-game winning streak in the process.

The Blues are back in action tonight at Ball Arena in Denver taking on the Avalanche.

Puck drops at 8:00.

High School postseason football action Friday night sees several area teams advance to state quarterfinal action.

Monroe City hosts, Lincoln, Blair Oaks heads to Cardinal Ritter High School to play Lift for Life, Bowling Green travels to Higginsville to take on Lafayette County, Boonville hosts Reeds Spring, and Hannibal has a long road trip to West Plains.

Games kick off Saturday afternoon at 1:00.
