KWWR Sports Report 12/1/22
Seniors Lauren Hansen and Hayley Frank account for more than half of Mizzou’s women’s basketball team’s points in last night’s victory over St. Louis University.
With 24 points each by the duo, including 19 of the 22 points put up in the first quarter, the Tigers beat the Billikens 82 to 52.
Next up for the Tigers is a 2-game road trip to the Arizona State Classic in Tempe.
The Tigers will battle UMass in the first game Saturday afternoon at 4:00.
Round 2 of girls action last night at the MoCo Tournament saw Montgomery County beat New Haven 40 to 22 and Hermann got by Wellsville – Middletown 45 to 39 setting up a championship game between Montgomery County and Hermann Saturday afternoon at 4:30.
In the consolation bracket, Mexico defeated Fulton 42 to 29 and Clopton beat Bowling Green 41 to 39.
Mexico and Clopton vie for the consolation win tomorrow night at 6:00.
