Snow Plus High Winds Present Challenge for MoDOT

MoDOT is urging drivers to use caution on Thursday with the snow event.

Officials say that while the snowfall amounts are manageable, the high winds and bitterly cold temperatures will make clearing the roads more difficult.

Add to that the fact that the snow is expected to be a dry snow, blizzard-like whiteout conditions will exist, especially around their snowplows.

Blowing and drifting of snow can also be expected.
