The Summit Is Now Open In Mexico
The Summit, the transitional housing facility in Mexico that is a project of the Audrain County Shelter Resource Coalition is now open.
The Mexico Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon-cutting Wednesday afternoon at 4:30 and then tours of the facility will be given.
The Summit, located at 626 East Summit Street, Suite L, is for those homeless residents who have income but lack the ability to maintain adequate housing.
The Summit will help people become eligible for permanent housing by establishing the payment history required by most landlords and will teach skills needed to fell confident and be successful in the housing market.
