Centralia Electric Customers Will Pay More For Service
The City of Centralia is raising the base fee for electric service on both residential and commercial accounts.
According to a Facebook post from the city, the base fee of $11.05 will rise to $16 as of February 1st.
The city says they contract with Ameren Missouri for wholesale electricity and just renewed their contract in September of 2022.
The contract prior was approved in 2014 and since then, infrastructure improvements have been made and other costs have risen.
