Ameren Solar Project Moves Forward In Audrain & Ralls Counties
A proposed solar project on the Audrain / Ralls County line is moving forward, according to Ameren.
The Huck Finn Solar Project is set to be acquired by Ameren as part of a build-transfer agreement between the utility and EDF Renewables.
The project is the first renewable energy generation acquisition to be approved following the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act and the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and is expected to generate 200 megawatts of power, enough to power 40,000 homes.
According to Ameren, construction is expected to create roughly 250 jobs.
