In Class 3 sectional action last night, the North Callaway Thunderbirds saw their season come to an end, but not without a fight.

A 3-pointer by Cole Camp at the end of the third overtime gave them the win, 54 – 51.

In Class 4 district play last night, Winfield ended Bowling Green’s season and Orchard Farm beat Wright City.

Hallsville beat Centralia to take on Macon in the semi-finals of District 8 while Mexico knocked off Moberly to advance, taking on Kirksville tomorrow night.

Southern Boone’s season came to an end at the hands of Blair Oaks who now take on Father Tolton tomorrow night while Fulton moves on after beating Boonville last night, they’ll meet Fatima tomorrow night.

Marshall beat Oak Grove last night to advance, taking on Richmond tomorrow night.

High school basketball postseason play continues tonight with girls action.

In Class 4 district play, Macon plays Kirksville at 6pm in Centralia followed by Mexico & Hallsville at 7:30pm; Centralia and Moberly have first round byes.

In California, Fulton plays Marshall at 6pm followed by Boonville & Knob Noster at 7:30pm; Southern Boone and California have first round byes.

In Wardsville, Eldon takes on Osage at 6pm with Fatima & Versailles following at 7:30pm; Blair Oaks and Owensville have first round byes.

In Class 1 sectional play, Community R-VI and St. Elizabeth play in Salisbury at 6pm.

In Class 2, Northeast Randolph in Cairo meets Schuyler County in Hannibal at 6pm and New Franklin gets Tipton at Jefferson City High School at 6pm.

In Class 3, it’s South Shelby meeting Duchesne in Hannibal at 7:45 while at Jefferson City High School at 7:45, Montgomery County plays Skyline from Urbana.

In spring training yesterday, the Cards handled the Mets 12 – 7 and the Royals lost to the Brewers 10 -4.

St. Louis is back in action at the Nationals this afternoon at 12:05 with the Royals at the Guardians at 2:05.

Seattle will release the Kracken in St. Louis tonight at Enterprise Center as they take on the Blues, puck drops at 7:00.

Mizzou Wrestling has 10 seeded competitors at the 2023 Big 12 Championships this weekend in Tulsa.

Missouri leads the conference with the entire lineup receiving selections.

Brock Mauller and Peyton Mocco are number 1 seeds, Keegan O’Toole and Rocky Elam are number 2 seeds with number 3 seeds going to Noah Surtin, Jarrett Jacques, and Zach Elam.

Connor Brown, Allan Hart, and Colton Hawks earned five, six, and four seeds respectively.

Mizzou is looking to take the title for the second year in a row after winning it last year in their first season.
