The Mizzou Tigers men’s team pick up a win in a back and forth battle at Mizzou Arena Saturday, beating Ole Miss 82 – 77.

The Tigers also got a double bye at the SEC Tournament that starts later this week.

The Tigers are the #4 seed in the tournament and also rise to #22 in the CBS Sports rankings.

Up next for the men, a Friday afternoon quarterfinal matchup around 2:30.

In Spring Training baseball from the weekend, the Cards won 2 of 3 games, winning Friday over the Marlins 8 – 3 and Saturday over Washington 9 – 6 but losing yesterday to the Mets 7 – 1.

The Royals picked up 3 wins over the weekend, beating Oakland Friday 6 – 4, Cincinnati on Saturday 12 – 6, and San Francisco yesterday 5 – 1.

The St. Louis Battlehawks are undefeated no more.

They met up with the D. C. Defenders yesterday who were also undefeated after 2 weeks.

The Defenders picked up the win 34 – 28.

St. Louis has their home opener at The Dome at America’s Center Saturday afternoon at 3:00 in front of an estimated crowd of 30,000 based on ticket sales thus far.

High school basketball postseason play continues tonight in Classes 5 & 6 for district champions on the boys side.

In Class 5 District 5, Jefferson City plays St. Francis Borgia and in Class 6 District 7, it’s the Bruins of Rock Bridge battling the Spartans of Battle.

Tomorrow night, it’s girls action as Helias takes on Jefferson City and Rock Bridge meets Grain Valley.
