Nationally Ranked Mexico High School Academic Team Wins Second Ever District Championship

The Mexico High School Academic Team is celebrating after winning its second District Title over the weekend.

The tournament took place on Saturday.

Mexico won the district championship by a score of 530-240 over Moberly, another nationally ranked team.

Sophomore Camden Williams was the top scorer with over 140 points per game.

Up next Mexico will travel to Priory in St. Louis with the hopes of winning their first Sectional Championship.

The public is invited to celebrate the district title by attending a Trivia Night fundraiser this Saturday, April 22 at the Mexico High School Sports Complex from 6-9.
