Mexico head coach Tony Senor says “Battle High School is a young team and we are glad we got to fit it into both of our schedules with weather being a factor. Everyone played very well and got some much needed court time and experience. We played three of our JV players up to Varsity to five them some more experience and to build confidence in our players. Our next match will be at Kirksville on 4/21/23.”

Mizzou softball put up a 4-3 win last night (Wednesday) in the Border-Showdown over rival Kansas.

Mizzou is now 26-20 on the season.

Up next, the team continues the home stand with a three-game series against North Texas starting tomorrow night (Friday) at 6.

The St. Louis Cardinals avoided a series sweep by powering their way through the Arizona Diamondbacks 14-5 at Busch Stadium yesterday (Wednesday).

Redbirds slugger Nolan Gorman blew the game open with a grand slam.

Tommy Edman was a single shy of the cycle which included a homerun and five RBI. St. Louis is off today (Thursday) as they travel to Seattle to start a three-game series with the Mariners tomorrow night (Friday).

The Kansas City Royals lost 12-3 to the Texas Rangers.

Yesterday’s (Wednesday’s) loss marks six straight home losses for the Royals.

Kansas City was outscored 28-5 in the three-game series sweep by the Rangers.
