The Fulton Hornets will look to secure a spot in the Class 4 Final 4 in the State High School Baseball Playoffs when they play St. Charles West in St. Charles this afternoon (Thursday).

Game starts at 4pm.

The St. Louis Cardinals lost 10 to 3 to the Cincinnati Reds on the road last night (Wednesday).

Redbirds starting pitcher Steven Matz was battered throughout his four innings and has a record of 0-6 and a 5.72 ERA over 10 outings.

A couple of bright spots for the Cardinals were Brendan Donovan and Lars Nootbaar who each launched home runs.

The Kansas City Royals were bested by the Detroit Tigers 6-4 at the K.
