Auxvasse Man Believed to be Involved in Shooting on the Loose Considered Armed and Dangerous

A search is on for an Auxvasse man believed to be involved in a shooting that happened yesterday afternoon (Sunday).

According to a Facebook post from the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office the suspect 33-year-old Damin Davis, fled the scene with his 10-year-old son in a black passenger car.

The post was updated to say the 10-year-old boy was returned safely to family members.

The shooting happened on East Harrison Street in Auxvasse just before 1pm.

Callaway County Sheriff’s Office says Davis is considered armed and dangerous.

Deputies say they found the vehicle abandoned near the 137 mile marker of I-70 yesterday afternoon (Sunday) and it is believed Davis is no longer in the Callaway County area.

Citizens are urged to report any suspicious activity by calling 911.
