Callaway County Sheriff Clay Chism’s DWI Trial to Start in September
Former Callaway County Sheriff Clay Chism’s trial will now take place in September.
The decision to push the trial back was made during a pre-trial hearing in Randolph County Court yesterday morning (Monday).
Chism is charged with driving while intoxicated and resisting arrest, both misdemeanors.
A jury trial was set to start on August 10, however his attorney filed for a motion for continuance, and September 22 is the new tentative trial start date.
