Mexico Man Arrested After Disturbance on Pearson Street

A Mexico man is facing multiple charges after an arrest yesterday (Tuesday), in the 500 block of Pearson Street.

Mexico Public Safety responded in reference to a disturbance with someone being held against their will.

According to a release officers found evidence that 52-year-old Robert L. Jackson II, had been with several people in a home during the previous overnight hours.

Jackson believed someone had stolen some of his property and began threatening people with a gun according to police.

Jackson was safely taken into custody and arrested for Third Degree Kidnapping, First Degree Sexual Abuse, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Stolen Firearm and Armed Criminal Action.

He was taken to the Audrain County Jail.

There were no injuries from the incident.
