Audrain County Man Jailed on Charges of Statutory Rape

A Laddonia man charged with statutory rape in July was arrested and booked into the Callaway County Jail this week.

19-year-old Jaylen Scott Fendrick was charged with first-degree statutory rape and furnishing pornographic material to a minor.

He is being held at the Callaway County Jail without bond.

An initial court appearance is scheduled for this morning (Wednesday) at the Callaway County Courthouse.

According to a probable cause statement on February 25, the Callaway County Sheriff’s Office received information about a possible sexual assault.

The victim reportedly told deputies that they met Fendrick through a mutual friend and they communicated through Snapchat.

Fendrick was allegedly aware of the age difference.

The victim allegedly told deputies they dated Fendrick from September 2022 through February 2023 and they broke up due to the investigation.

According to the probable cause statement the victim stated explicit photos were exchanged between the two and they had sex on multiple occasions.
