Mexico Lady Bulldogs Softball Wins Thriller Over Kirksville
The Mexico Lady Bulldogs are riding a five-game winning streak after defeating the Kirksville Lady Tigers 5-4 on the road Monday, September 25, 2023.
The Lady Bulldogs took the lead late in the game.
It was tied at four in the top of the eighth inning when Emma Cunningham singled, scoring a run.
Mexico starting pitcher Aleigha Henderson earned the win.
The reliever came in allowing just one run over five innings.
Jo Thurman, Emma Cunningham, and Brooke Teel each collected two hits for the Lady Bulldogs.
Hannah Loyd provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Mexico with two RBI.
Mexico’s defense turned two double plays in the game.
The Lady Bulldogs improved their record to 12-8 on the season.
Up next Mexico hosts Moberly on Thursday.
