Hundreds of Thousands of Dollars in Damage Estimated in Mexico House Fire
About $200,000 in damage is estimated following a house fire in Mexico on Wednesday, October 11, 2023.
Little Dixie Fire Protection District were dispatched to 23510 Audrain Road 834 around 8:40 on Wednesday night.
Crews found a story and one/half sing family dwelling with heavy smoke coming from it.
Flames were found in the southwest portion of the house which had also spread to the attic.
All occupants were able to safely make out of the home and firefighters were able to rescue two dogs from the structure.
The Missouri State Fire Marshal investigator found the fire started in the laundry room from an electrical issue.
Little Dixie responded with 2-engines, 3-tankers, a rescue truck and 22 personnel.
Audrain Ambulance District provided an ambulance and personnel at the scene for assistance.
