Mexico Public Safety Arrests Two People Wanted in Connection to Several Thefts

Mexico Public Safety is reporting the arrest of a Centralia woman and Mexico man on Wednesday, November 1, 2023.

According to the news release Mexico Public Safety received information from an alert citizen about some suspicious people around some storage units in the 4000 block of East Liberty just before 3 on Wednesday afternoon.

Responding personnel found 27-year-old Stephanie N. Bowden and 30-year-old Quaid D. Johnson of Mexico.

Bowden had outstanding arrest warrants out of Audrain County, Jefferson City, and Mexico.

Johnson had an outstanding arrest warrant out of Callaway County.

The two were also wanted by Mexico Public Safety in connection to several thefts that happened over the summer months.

Both were taken to the Audrain County Jail for the outstanding warrants and additional cases will be forwarded to the Audrain County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
