KWWR Sports Report 11/29/23
The Mexico Bulldogs boys basketball team dominated Wellsville-Middletown with a 75-10 win in the 1st round of the Montgomery County Tournament on Tuesday night.
Every player contributed in the victory.
PJ Perkins led the way with 16 points, four steals and four rebounds.
DJ Long had 12 points and three assists.
Austin Maxwell finished with 12 points.
Kaden Benne contributed eight points and seven steals.
Holden Aulbur with six points and six rebounds.
Charlie Fisher had five points and three assists.
Aidan Knipfel, Grant Broeker, and Hunter Bickell all chipped in with four points each.
With the win Mexico improves to 2-0 on the season.
Other games in the Montgomery County Tournament on Tuesday night saw Herman defeat Clopton 54-46.
#1 seeded Mexico plays Hermann tomorrow night (Thursday) with a 6pm tip.
Montgomery County beat New Haven 89-21.
Fulton rolled Bowling Green 74-37.
Montgomery County will play Fulton on Wednesday night at 7:30.
The Mexico Lady Bulldogs basketball team resumes play in the Montgomery County Tournament tonight (Wednesday), when they play Fulton on the consolation side of the girls bracket.
Tip-off is set for 7pm in the Montgomery County Middle School gym.
The Missouri men’s basketball team defeated Pittsburgh 71-64 in the ACC/SEC Challenge last night (Tuesday).
Graduate guard Sean East tallied his fourth 20-point game of the season, posting 21 points to go with four assists.
With the win the Tigers improve to 6-2 on the year.
Mizzou is back in action, hosting Wichita State on Sunday afternoon at 2pm.
The St. Louis Blues lost 3-1 to the Minnesota Wild on the road last night (Tuesday).
Colton Parayko scored for St. Louis and Jordan Binnington made 34 saves.
The Blues have lost two of their last three games.
