Missouri Highway Patrol Identifies Man Killed In Callaway County Accident
A Florida man has been identified as the man who was killed in an accident in Callaway County during the early morning hours of Monday, January 22, 2024.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol accident report it happened on I-70 westbound at the 145 mile marker.
The accident happened as 40-year-old Jonas J. Baptiste of Fort Lauderdale, Florida exited his vehicle and was hit by a 2023 freightliner driven by 42-year-old Marcus A. Boards of Escondido, California.
The freightliner left the road and traveled off the right side of the roadway.
Both lanes on westbound I-70 were closed for multiple hour while the Missouri State Highway Patrol investigated the deadly crash.
