Mexico Bulldogs Boys Clinch Tie for North Central Missouri Conference Championship While Mexico Lady Bulldogs Lose Heartbreaker in Fulton

The Mexico Bulldogs boys and girls varsity basketball teams split games against the Fulton Hornets on Tuesday, February 13, 2024.

The Mexico Lady Bulldogs fell to the Fulton Lady Hornets 43-41.

Mexico trailed by ten points at the half.

The Lady Bulldogs would claw their way back in the second half and took the lead late in the fourth quarter.

Fulton would reclaim the one point lead with seconds to go in the game.

Mexico had a chance to win the game, but missed a last second shot.

The Lady Bulldogs are now 10-13 overall and 3-5 in the North Central Missouri Conference.

The Mexico Bulldogs boys completed the season sweep of Fulton with a 69-41 victory.

Senior guard DJ Long led the Bulldogs offense with 26 points.

Charlie Fisher and PJ Perkins reached double digits scoring 10 points each respectively.

Mexico improved to 22-2 on the season and remained perfect in the NCMC.

With the win the Bulldogs have clinched at least a tie for the conference championship with Kirksville.

If Mexico defeats Moberly this Friday, the Bulldogs will claim the NCMC championship outright.
