The Mexico Bulldogs baseball team shut out the Marshall Owls 6-0 on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.

With the victory Mexico extended their current winning streak to five games.

The Bulldogs scored four runs in the first inning.

Mexico added to their lead in the bottom of the second inning after Tyson Carr doubled, and Jaydon Eldridge singled, each scoring one run.

Sam Ryan earned the win for the Bulldogs. Ryan went seven innings, and struck out seven batters.

Drew DeMint led the Mexico offense with two hits in four at bats.

Kaden Benne, Jaydon Eldridge and Tyson Carr each drove in one run for the Bulldogs.

Mexico will travel to Centralia for their next game on Thursday, April 11, 2024.

The Mexico High School boys tennis team defeated Bonville 6-3.

The St. Louis Cardinals recorded a 3-0 shutout victory over the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.

Sonny Gray made his pitching debut for the Redbirds and worked five shutout innings against the Phillies.

Gray was on a 65-pitch limit because of the hamstring strain suffered during spring training.

The Cardinals go for the series win against the Phillies on Wednesday, April 10, 2024.

The Kansas City Royals extended the current winning streak to five with a 4-3 win over the Houston Astros at the K.

The Royals veteran captain Salvador Perez delivered the walk-off single as the Royals came back from a three-run deficit.
