The Mexico High School boys tennis team lost 5-0 to Father Tolton in the District Championship match on Thursday, May 9, 2024.
Mexico put up a second place finish in the District Tournament for a fourth consecutive year.

The Missouri Tigers softball team will have a 2-1 lead when their rain delayed SEC Tournament quarterfinal resumes on Friday, May 10, 2024.
After a seven-hour rain delay on Thursday, Mizzou and Arkansas made it to the top of the fifth inning, only to have another storm blow through Auburn, Alabama.
When lightning was spotted near the playing field, umpires stopped the game and it was determined that the safest course of action was to suspend the game until 9 this morning.

The St. Louis Cardinals suffered their fifth consecutive loss in a 7-1 defeat to the Milwaukee Brewers at Busch Stadium on Thursday, May 9, 2024.
Cardinals starting pitcher Sonny Gray had a rough outing giving up three home runs.
Lars Nootbaar hit a home run for the Redbirds lone run.
The loss moved St. Louis to a season-worst seven games below .500 and seven games back of the Brewers in the National League Central.

The Kansas City Royals routed the Anaheim Angels 10-4 in a series opening win at Angel Stadium.
