Key Free-Throws Made in the Fourth Quarter Propels Community R-VI Lady Trojans Basketball to Victory Over Mark Twain

The Community R-VI Lady Trojans basketball team improved to 5-2 on the season with a 30-25 win over Mark Twain on Monday, December 9, 2024.

Aaliya Welcom led the way for the Lady Trojans with 10 points.

Peyton Beamer recorded 7 points.

Jocelyn Curtis put up 4 points.

Amy McCurdy had 1 point.

Head coach Bob Curtis says “The Lady Trojans collect another win. With just 30 points.

Monday night the Lady Trojans would again rely on their defense to give them a chance to win.

The game was neck and neck throughout with just 15 points scored by the Lady Trojans in the first 3 quarters.

Going 8-9 at the FT line in the 4th quarter was a big key to the victory for the Lady Trojans who scored 15 in the final quarter for the win.

Kat Meyer his a big three to put us up three with 2 and a half minutes left.

We never gave the lead back from that point on.”
