Points in the Paint Launches Community R-VI Lady Trojans Basketball to Win Over Madison
The Community R-VI Lady Trojans basketball team defeated Madison 52-28 on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.
Community head coach Bob Curtis says “We had three in double figures Tuesday night with 7 different Lady Trojans scoring in the win.
As a team we saw improvement at the FT line going 17-26 in the contest, held our 5th opponent on the season under 30 points.
Which has really become a game goal that the girls have enforced themselves through their investment in the defensive end of the floor.
We are really getting better everyday which is exciting as we head into the heat of conference play.
Jocelyn Curtis and Aaliyah Welch provided 22 points in the paint while Peyton Beamer connected on two three’s and was 7-8 at the ft. line in the win.
These three have really stepped up offensively from a year ago and I hope they continue to be consistent go to players on the offensive end.
Chloe Johnson, Kat Meyer, and Myla Carroll all had 3 points along with Rylee Rafferty who dropped in 2.
All 11 players got action in the win and provided good minutes to deepen our bench confidence going forward.”
Community improved to 6-2 on the season.
