Mexico Boys Basketball Plays Kankakee at Norm Stewart Classic, Mexico Girls Pick Up Road Victory Over Silex

The Mexico Bulldogs boys basketball team lost 65-35 to the Kankakee Kays out of Illinois at the Norm Stewart Classic played at Mizzou Arena in Columbia on Thursday, December 12th.

The Bulldogs had two players reach double digits with 10 points from Jaydon Eldridge and 10 points from Kaden Benne.

The Mexico boys fell to 3-3 on the season.

The Mexico Lady Bulldogs pick up a 53-30 victory over Silex on the road on Thursday, December 12th.

Freshman Alyssa Miller led the way with 14 points.

Freshman Scottie Smith put up 10 points.

Mexico head coach Makenzie Mudd says “We came out intense at the beginning and didn’t look back. I was so impressed with our teamwork and unselfish play. Silex has a small, loud gym so there was a huge mental piece to the game in order to know what we were running and we did a great job of picking each other up and communicating.”

The Mexico girls improved to 4-3 overall.
