Cold Weather to Blame for Power Outage Near Centralia
Country 96-KWWR is back on the air after a power outage at its tower site near Centralia during the morning hours of Thursday, February 20, 2025.
According to Consolidated Electric initially 90 people were without power.
However, when they shut the line down for repairs around 200 people were impacted.
A spokesperson for Consolidated Electric says the outage was caused due to the cold weather which caused a connector to pull apart.
The power at the radio station went off just before 7:30 Thursday morning and was restored just before 9am.
