Dr. Ben Carson Cancels Scheduled Visit To Governor’s Prayer Breakfast

A scheduled visit to Jefferson City by U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson is now canceled.

The cancellation comes due to the partial federal government shutdown.

The HUD department is completely closed over the shutdown which is now in day 18.

Carson was slated to be the keynote speaker of the Governor’s Prayer Breakfast tomorrow (Thursday.

The only other person currently scheduled to speak at tomorrow’s (Wednesday) prayer breakfast is Pastor Billy Russell, who is the minister at First Baptist Church of Bolivar and preached at Governor Parson’s inauguration in June.
